Chief Executive Officer
Rodney Rogers is CEO of Virtustream, the enterprise-class cloud company trusted by organizations worldwide to run their mission-critical applications in the cloud. He co-founded Virtustream in 2009 and was Chairman and CEO before its acquisition by EMC in 2015 and Dell Technologies in 2016.
With more than 25 years in the IT services industry, Rodney is recognized as a successful entrepreneur and expert technologist, known for his leadership contributions in the realization of two back-to-back “unicorns” — startups that achieve billion dollar valuations. He ranked third on the Forbes global list of “Best Cloud Computing Companies and CEOs To Work For In 2015.”
Prior to Virtustream, Rodney was co-founder, chairman and CEO of Adjoined. From its inception in 2000 through its acquisition by Kanbay (NASDQ: KBAY) in 2006, Adjoined was known as one of the fastest growing US-based IT services companies. He then became COO of Kanbay, a 7,000 person global IT Services firm acquired by Capgemini in 2007.
Rodney is a board director of UnitedLex, a leading knowledge process outsourcer based in India, and Greensmith, a leader in distributed energy storage software technology. He is an angel investor in a variety of technology startups, and also co-founder and director of The Blue Lagoon Foundation, a non-profit charitable giving organization. Rodney holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the University of Florida.

Kevin Reid is a serial entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience delivering best in class performance for companies by way of innovation, optimization and transformation..
Kevin was co-founder and CTO of Virtustream Inc., a leading cloud software and services company that was acquired in July of 2015 by EMC for $1.2B and which recently became one of the Dell Technologies family of businesses. Virtustream introduced the first consumption-based hybrid cloud software and IaaS platform capable of providing commercial application latency performance guarantees for running mission-critical enterprise class applications on modern multi-tenant cloud architectures. Virtustream represents a key transformational element of Dell EMC’s new cloud strategy. Kevin is now the President & CTO of Virtustream, a Dell Technologies company, responsible for designing the solutions that enable our enterprise clients to drive business value and IT transformation.
Before Virtustream, Kevin was a co-founder and the CTO of Adjoined Consulting, a US based management consulting, technology and outsourcing firm targeting the global 2000 market. Adjoined was known as the fastest growing U.S.-based IT Services company from its inception through its acquisition by Kanbay (NASDQ: KBAY) in 2006. Kevin then became the Global Practice lead for the Business Intelligence Practice of Kanbay, which was subsequently acquired by Capgemini (Paris: CAP) in 2007. Kevin continued with Capgemini as the North American practice leader for Business Intelligence and Enterprise Architecture.
Prior to Adjoined Kevin was CIO for a privately held corporation and the largest producer and distributor of sweeteners in the United States. Before that, he was with Accenture's Consumer Products Industry Practice.
In addition, Kevin is president of Blue Lagoon Advisors, LLC, a private U.S-based executive advisory and private equity firm and chairman of the board for Greensmith Energy Management Systems, LLC, an emerging leader in distributed energy storage technology.
Chief Operating Officer
Simon Walsh is Virtustream’s Chief Operating Officer (COO), accountable for creating scalability and sustainability as Virtustream expands to meet the rapidly growing market demand for its cloud solutions and services. Simon’s responsibilities span across Virtustream’s key priorities including management of our cloud portfolio, commercial competiveness, development of channel and alliances and execution of Virtustream’s key geographic expansion.
Prior to his role as COO, Simon served as Virtustream’s Managing Director responsible for leading its global efforts to progress in vertical market initiatives, Global Accounts, Federation channel efforts and external channel GTM efforts.
Before Virtustream, Simon was the senior vice president and Chief Operating Officer for EMC EMEA, where he was responsible for delivering growth, through meeting the needs of EMC’s customers and driving transformation across EMEA toward a consultative solutions capability. His responsibilities also included portfolio development, segmentation, sales, new customer acquisition, customer service and overall commercial accountability for Profit and Loss.
Prior to joining EMC, Simon was executive vice president and member of the Executive Committee for Colt Technology Services. He was also non-executive director and latterly stood-in as CEO of MarketPrizm, a wholly-owned Colt subsidiary.
Previously, Simon was Managing Director at Computacenter UK Ltd, where he spent 17 years, undertaking various field, central, operational and management positions in sales, services and strategy.
Brian Curran is Virtustream’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO), responsible for the company’s financial functions on a global scale, including accounting, financial planning and analysis, treasury, corporate reporting and tax. Previous to becoming the CFO, he was the Corporate Controller for Virtustream. As Corporate Controller, Brian managed the accounting, revenue and corporate reporting functions.
Prior to joining Virtustream, Brian was the Corporate Controller for Virtual Computing Environment (VCE), which was a joint venture with VMware, Cisco and EMC. VCE currently resides as the $2B+ converged infrastructure division of Dell EMC. Brian joined VCE early in its development and led various global teams that helped build the firm into a billion dollar business in six years.
Before his time with VCE, Brian spent over five years at EMC where he held various roles within the corporate business, as well as the manufacturing and R&D business units. Brian also worked for a Financial Services Company in Boston before his career at EMC.
Brian holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Saint Michael’s College, an MBA from Assumption College and an MSA from Northeastern University. He is active in various non-profits, including being a Board Member of The 33 Foundation, which is dedicated to helping spinal cord patients and families maximize recovery potential.
Chief Human Resources Officer
Eva Andres is the CHRO for Virtustream and has extensive global experience in talent management, mergers and acquisitions, organizational design and building high caliber HR teams for leading technology organizations.
Before Virtustream, Eva held HR leadership roles within Dell EMC and its predecessor companies leading all aspects of the global practice to ensure that the business attracted and maintained world-class talent to help drive their success. Previously, she was VP of HR for Documentum (later acquired by EMC), globally managing integration, M&A, growth and its divestiture. Eva started her career at DuPont in Europe where she held a variety of strategic HR positions across the region for 7 years.
Passionate about the future of work and creating global collaboration environments, Eva actively participates as a speaker and evangelist in high tech and women’s events. She championed Dell EMC in the Bay area to a top ranking of the “Best Places to Work.”
Eva holds a degree in Organizational Psychology from the University of Barcelona, and currently resides in the San Francisco Bay Area. She is multilingual, proficient in English, Spanish and French, and serves on the Board of Directors of a non-profit organization.
Vanessa E. Candela
Vanessa Candela, Virtustream’s General Counsel, has extensive experience as a corporate, transactions and securities attorney. She is responsible for leading corporate legal initiatives, in addition to advising senior management on company strategies and direction.
Prior to joining Virtustream, Vanessa was Assistant General Counsel for EMC, with a primary focus on mergers & acquisitions, strategic investments, securities and other corporate matters. She was the lead counsel for EMC on more than $4 billion of acquisitions and strategic investments and has counseled EMC and RSA, The Security Division of EMC, in a variety of business matters.
Before joining EMC, Vanessa was an attorney at Foley Hoag LLP in Boston where she counseled a variety of public and private clients on a broad range of matters including mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financings and other general business matters. She also co-chaired the Communications Committee of the Business Transactions and Financial Services Sections of the Boston Bar Association in 2013 and 2014, and has been a member of the Steering Committee for Northeastern University School of Law’s Women in the Law Conference since 2010. In 2014, Vanessa was named In-House Leader in the Law by Lawyers Weekly.
Vanessa earned her Bachelor of Science in finance from the Carroll School of Management at Boston College and her Juris Doctor from Northeastern University School of Law.
Senior Vice President, Global Sales
Todd McNabb is the Senior Vice President of Global Sales at Virtustream, responsible for driving Virtustream’s global growth strategy and market leadership by delivering and supporting the full range of Virtustream’s Cloud Services and Software solutions. He is also responsible for ensuring that Virtustream’s customer facing and service professionals understand, communicate and deliver the unique value Virtustream brings to its customers and partners.
Before joining Virtustream, Todd led the Global Sales organization for CSC Cloud Business Unit, where he was responsible for the end-to-end strategies to advance the company’s Cloud Computing position in the US, ANZ, EMEA, and APAC. Under Todd’s leadership CSC’s Cloud Business Unit became the fastest growing segment in CSC and was recognized as the market leader for public and private cloud in 2013-2014.
Prior to CSC, Todd spent over a decade at IBM, where he was responsible for executing IBM’s software, hardware, and Global Services strategy to IBM’s largest Global Manufacturing and A&D clients. He was recognized as a thought leader in his practice and received multiple awards for his achievements in high margin growth and delivery excellence.
Senior Vice President, Marketing
Lisa Desmond is an expert in marketing business-to-business solutions, with a primary focus on technology solutions that drive business value and IT transformation. Lisa oversees Field, Channel and Product Marketing, as well as Virtustream’s brand in the marketplace and Corporate Communications.
Lisa was a part of the initial start-up team for Virtustream and played an instrumental role in marketing and building brand equity for the company and for xStream, the first consumption-based hybrid cloud software and IaaS platform for running mission-critical enterprise class applications on modern multi-tenant cloud architectures.
Before Virtustream, Lisa was the Marketing Director of Adjoined Consulting, a US-based management consulting, technology and outsourcing firm targeting the global 2000 market. Adjoined was known as the fastest growing U.S.-based IT Services company from its inception through its acquisition by Kanbay in 2006. Lisa then became the Director of Marketing and Corporate Communications for Kanbay, which was subsequently acquired by Capgemini in 2007. Kanbay was integrated into the Capgemini Financial Services Strategic Business Unit and Lisa continued as Director of Marketing and Communications for the business.
Lisa holds a BA from Virginia Tech and dedicates time to mentoring and coaching entrepreneurs on marketing strategies for startup ventures
Senior Vice President, Global Services
Peter Lacoste leads Virtustream’s Global Services business. He is responsible for setting the strategy, driving execution and creating best practices for the Virtustream Infrastructure and Applications Managed Services team. Through his leadership he enables Virtustream customers to realize business value by providing them with a choice of consumption models and by delivering cutting edge hybrid Cloud and innovative IT solutions. His organization is laser focused on providing customers with an exceptional total customer experience. The result is a business that is growing at a rate better than the market, with a global presence and customers in all major industry sectors.
Prior to Virtustream, Peter has held multiple senior leadership roles in EMC, including leading the Asia Pacific/Japan (APJ) organization where he had responsibility for EMC’s Professional Services, Presales, Consulting and Support services teams. In this role, he was also responsible for various strategic initiatives including the development of Six Sigma and client care in APJ.
Peter holds a Master’s degree in Technology Management from the University of Queensland, Australia. Peter is also a foundation member of the TSIA Managed Services Board.
Senior Vice President, Virtustream Storage Cloud
Dan Campbell is a 30 year industry veteran leading the global Virtustream Storage Cloud organization at Virtustream.
Dan came to Virtustream from EMC where, for the past 17 years, he served in various senior management roles in Sales, Marketing, and Sales Operations. Most recently, Dan ran EMC’s Global Storage Specialty Sales starting in October 2013. This organization was comprised of more than 2,500 Global Sales and Presales personnel and impacting >$16B in EMC product revenue. Dan’s extended team was responsible for EMC’s Storage & Backup product focus areas including: XtremIO, Isilon, V-Max and VNX, all Data Protection Solutions, and Software Defined Solutions. Additional roles Dan has held at EMC include Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President of Sales for EMC Corporation’s Backup Recovery Systems Division (BRS). Prior to joining BRS in 2011, Dan was the Divisional Vice President for EMC’s Enterprise Sales Division for the Western United States starting in 2005.
Since 2006, Dan has served as the Executive Sponsor for EMC’s West Coast Women’s Leadership Group and he sits on EMC’s Diversity Executive Committee. Dan also plays an active role in many important community causes including past co-chair and on-going participation with the Second Harvest Food Bank, providing assistance to Boulder, CO youth via the I Have a Dream Foundation, assisting US Veterans by working with the Pat Tillman Foundation and helping in the effort to cure pediatric brain cancer through his service for the Team Jack Foundation.
Senior Vice President, Public Sector
Joe Moye brings over 30 years of diverse experience as a leader in the technology arena and joins Virtustream after successfully driving the transformation of the enterprise business of a publicly traded software company. He also founded and built a highly successful analytics and data management business, which was acquired and integrated into a leading, global professional services company.
Joe heads up Virtustream’s public sector business, a new business unit that reinforces Virtustream’s commitment to providing the public sector with enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure capable of delivering the guaranteed performance and uptime needed to operate mission-critical workloads in the cloud. Prior to joining Virtustream, he was the President of the Enterprise Customer Business Unit at Blackbaud (BLKB) where he helped the business drive its transformation into a Cloud centric solution set while delivering a record performance in customer satisfaction and shareholder value.
Before joining Blackbaud, Joe was president and CEO for Capgemini Government Solutions, where he aggressively expanded the company in the U.S. public sector marketplace. Prior to Capgemini, Mr. Moye was the founder and CEO of Gazelle Consulting, Inc., a branded leader in analytics and data management professional services based in Atlanta, Ga. Gazelle was acquired by Adjoined Consulting in 2005 and Joe integrated his team and led the combined Business Intelligence practice and, ultimately Kanbay’s practice after its acquisition of Adjoined, prior to Capgemini acquiring Kanbay. Before founding Gazelle Consulting, Mr. Moye held multiple leadership positions with Sequent Computer Systems and Unisys where he was responsible for leading business units and channels both domestically and internationally.
Mr. Moye holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration from Florida State University.
Senior Vice President, Diamond Accounts
Christina Colby is a seasoned technology services executive with a keen focus on ensuring delivery excellence and advancing client outcomes for our flagship global accounts.
Before Virtustream, Christina was with Capgemini Group responsible for go-to-market, business development, and solutions for their rapidly-growing, market-leading services business focused on the Insurance segment. In this capacity, she was considered an industry thought leader and delivery expert both domestically and internationally. Prior to that, Christina led a business information management capability for Capgemini Financial Services. She also served as an executive coach and sat on an advisory team for digital transformation.
Earlier in her career, Christina discovered her passion for data and business insights in her role with Adjoined Consulting, a management consulting, technology, and outsourcing firm.
Christina holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Carnegie Mellon University.
Mike Evans leads Virtustream’s Cloud Platform Operations and is responsible for setting the strategy for Global Data Centers and Platform Operations across Virtustream’s Enterprise, Public Sector and Storage Clouds. Through his leadership, he enables Virtustream’s customers to realize business value and outcomes by delivering agile, flexible and secure off-premises Cloud Infrastructure as a Service.
Mike came to Virtustream from EMC where, for the past 16 years, he served in various senior management roles. Most recently, he led the EMC Global Specialty Presales organization responsible for incubating, accelerating and scaling the company’s developing businesses. Mike accomplished this by building strong teams with deep technical expertise, establishing methodical and scalable sales processes and fostering long-term customer relationships.
Prior to his years with EMC, Mike spent 8 years working for IBM, starting out as an Account Customer Engineer and eventually becoming the Service Planning Specialist.
Vice President, Corporate Development
Cherie Whitney is Vice President of Corporate Development and responsible for program implementation and the orchestration of cross functional priorities focused on accelerating growth. Leveraging her role as a financial and operational leader in the technology sector, Cherie has demonstrated the ability to effectively collaborate across global organizations to support and drive strategic initiatives.
Prior to joining Virtustream, she served as vice president of Corporate Development at EMC Corporation and managed the execution of targeted and opportunistic acquisitions, dispositions, investments and joint ventures. As part of EMC’s Corporate Development team, Cherie was instrumental in facilitating over $11 billion in software, hardware and other technology acquisitions, which helped expand EMC’s market position and realize corporate strategic and financial goals. In advance of joining Corporate Development, Cherie worked in the EMC Marketing organization.
Cherie holds an MBA and a bachelor’s degree in international studies from Bentley University, as well as a master’s degree in Communication, Culture and Economics from Georgetown University. She is active in women’s advocacy programs in the technology field and dedicates time to coaching and engaging entrepreneurs in various incubator programs.
