Bethesda, Md. - Thursday, February 3, 2011 - Virtustream, Inc., a leading provider of cloud services and next generation infrastructure solutions, today announced it has added $9.75 million to its Series A venture capital funding round, bringing the total value of the round to $49.35 million. The additional money from existing investors Columbia Capital, Intel Capital, Noro-Moseley Partners, Blue Lagoon and TDFunds will be used to expand its product offerings in response to continued demand for cloud computing.
The additional funding will be used to enable new channel focused offerings in support of Virtustream’s high-growth enterprise cloud business and for continued innovation supporting its next generation of hypervisor-independent cloud provisioning solutions. In March 2010, Virtustream introduced xStream, a dynamic cloud platform capable of supporting on-premise, off-premise or hybrid multi-tenanted cloud deployments.
