Proactive Health Checks
Virtustream offers two types of Health Checks, one targeted at optimizing the infrastructure; the other designed to assess the performance of applications running in an IT environment.

Infrastructure Health Checks:
By now, the benefits of a virtualized infrastructure are well known. But what happens when the virtualized infrastructure doesn’t live up to expectations because of insufficient server consolidation ratios, virtual machines (VMs) exhibiting poor performance, inability to implement advanced features such as DRS, and intermittent loss of network connectivity to VMs.
The Health Check report analyses the current environment and reviews storage, network, and virtualization (i.e. VMware) servers. It also provides recommendations on how to improve the virtual infrastructure to ensure compliance with Best Practices, stability of your virtual environment and performance in accordance with metrics you’ve set for your infrastructure.

Application Health Checks:
Consistent with our Infrastructure Health Check are those we provide for assessing the current technical and functional state of applications. These Health Checks are included in the first phase of our Support Methodology. They can be directly leveraged as input for the implementation of a new Support Engagement or used to help our customers by creating a roadmap to improve their own internal service levels.
