We recognize our clients are in various stages of infrastructure deployment. Our solutions immediately address current needs while allowing our clients to adopt at their own pace. xStream is available in any combination of the following configurations:

• Traditional Virtualization Services
  We provide traditional virtualization solutions using our capabilities derived from a decade of successfully delivering these solutions to enterprise clients. We also offer Health Checks on existing environments to ensure that the virtualized infrastructure is delivering all the benefits that it is capable of while ensuring that the inefficiencies of the traditional physical world are eliminated.

• On-Premise (Private) Cloud
  For applications deemed necessary to run in an environment where physical hardware is not shared with other enterprises, we offer a dedicated Cloud solution. It provides world-class infrastructure as a service without concern of comingled data or application processing.
  

• Hosted Private Cloud
  Our Hosted Private Cloud solution is an elastic consumption-based model where servers and storage are physically isolated by client. We provide preconfigured solutions using best-of-breed industry hardware and software leveraging our xStream management software in an on-site, hosted solution.
  

• "Private Multi-Tenant" Cloud
  Virtustream pioneered the delivery of Private Clouds within a Multi-Tenant environment, providing the security and performance attributes of a private cloud with the elasticity and economics of a public cloud. These cloud solutions are hosted in our data centers.

xStream Cloud Software-as-a-Service (SaaS)

Virtustream’s Cloud solutions differ from the standard used by other providers who provide commoditized virtual machines with specific memory or CPU sizing parameter. We focus on the aggregate requirements of workloads operating within the Cloud and dynamically allocate resources to those requiring the greatest demand to optimize and balance the operating environment. These workloads need network and storage bandwidth allocation to perform optimally. Our Cloud solutions guarantee CPU, memory, network and storage I/O resources as defined by the number of µVMs a client requires. There is no restriction on the number of virtual machines, the size of those machines, or how and when they may be used.

We provide the tools to help our clients optimize the use of their virtual resources, with near real-time usage statistics and trending analysis. The xStream platform goes a step further by building in various levels of business continuity, depending on the type of µVMs purchased.

Backup-as-a-Service (BaaS)

Virtustream has deployed the leading backup solution in the infrastructure services market. Our Backup-as-a-Service (BaaS) offering is based on IP developed during nine years in the private cloud and virtualization space in combination with technologies that optimize bandwidth, provide automated offsite replication, and include self-service restore capabilities.

As one of the industry’s first true hybrid cloud solutions, our xStream platform allows for both offsite and remote backup and restore capabilities. The solution has numerous deployment options to meet any organizational need, including on demand backup.

Virtustream offers backup services to our xStream Platform clients in our data centers and to clients with on-premise or hosted private clouds, remote offices, and mobile users seeking offsite backup and recovery solutions.

Disaster Recovery-as-a-Service (DRaaS)

Virtustream’s xStream platform, with its N+2 cluster design, provides high availability and fault tolerance as a backbone for service continuity and data disaster recovery. Our Disaster Recovery-as-a-Service (DRaaS) Solution allows you to back up your infrastructure to a Virtustream datacenter via the internet. Compute, network, and storage capacity are then reserved within the xStream platform to ensure availability in the event of failure at your site. You pay only a resource reservation charge during normal operations, and discounted actual consumption charges when DRaaS resources are actively used. This service is invaluable for ensuring that your applications and data are protected from a failure in your sites.
