Matt Theurer
SVP Cloud Platform Services

Matt Theurer is Senior Vice President of Cloud Platform Services for Virtustream. Matt is responsible for ensuring the timely, efficient and reliable delivery of our xStream IaaS services to our customers. Globally, Matt is responsible for defining strategy, architecture and overseeing product development of our Cloud service offerings and the xStream Platform.

Matt has been designing and deploying IT solutions for 20 years and has demonstrated expertise in architecting IT solutions to solve real world challenges for companies ranging in size from tens of users to tens of thousands of users. He was one of the first individuals ever certified on Vmware’s virtualization platform and holds many industry certifications including certifications from Microsoft, Cisco and EMC.

Matt began his career working for the Federal Government designing “Smart” building solutions and went on to become a senior systems engineer and project manager for CIS Global and VirtuaLogic, Inc. In 2001, he joined Sean Jennings to start Brigh Technologies, Inc. specializing in Disaster Recovery and highly available systems architectures. He served as President, CIO, and a Principal Consultant with Brigh Technologies.

Matt received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering with a focus in Computer Hardware design from the University of Maryland at College Park.
