About GDPR
The European Union (EU) General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a new law ([EU] 2016/679) intended to strengthen and unify data privacy rights for European Union data subjects. It replaces the EU Data Protection Directive (95/46/EC) with one EU regulation effective May 25, 2018. The GDPR includes much of what was in the former Directive but with some new requirements and broader application than previous EU privacy laws.
